So which do you think is the best Star Trek movie?
I've always thought that Star Trek II was by far the best, followed by Star Trek VI and then Star Trek III. The new one would follow right after those, probably, but I've only seen it once.

I voted for 1st Contact even though I tend to agree with you on The Wrath of Khan (Moby Dick by any other name). But since you'd offered a vote for that, I voted for 1st Contact since I think it comes very close.

I'll have to watch Wrath of Khan again, as I don't remember it as being a memorable one (hmmm remember, memorable.... tautology?)...
Although recent, I thought that the latest one was pretty enjoyable, even if they did screw up "Tiberius".

Although recent, I thought that the latest one was pretty enjoyable, even if they did screw up "Tiberius". We're into a new realm with the latest ST movie, because they decided to rewrite the universe that was explicit in the however many movies that had been made to that point. They destroyed Vulcan and changed other things in the ST universe. Personally, I like that they did that. Shows some cojones to engage in that sort of change and put out a damn decent movie in the process. Sets up several new movies that don't have much to do with a franchise that had become rather shop-worn. =Bob

I'd have to say WRATH OF KHAN . Shatner impersonators use this film as a blueprint. There are so many classic lines. I also have a soft spot for SEARCH FOR SPOCK, but KHHHHHHHAAAAAAAANNNN! beats 'em all hands down!
