This is a really good movie and one that anyone who does not have Showtime needs to rent. It's loosely based upon a blind wine competition that took place in France in 1976 when Napa Valley wines kicked the living shit outta French wines.
Alan Rickman is a Brit living in Paris and owns a failing wine store. So he comes up with the idea of a blind taste test between California and French wines in order to boost business. He comes to Napa because he's read about the wines and spends time there testing them (and being stunned at how good they are).
The movie has Bill Pullman as the owner of a start-up winery, Chris Pine (Star Trek) as his son, Rachel Taylor (hubba hubba) as an intern and some other familiar faces.
If you haven't seen this movie and don't have Showtime, rent it. I highly recommend it.
