Any Eagles fans out there? Their diversity is unmatched. Their harmonys are unmatched, and their voice ranges are unmatched.
IMHO. ;D

I'm not a big fan, but there are several of their songs that I do like.
And that band was tight - they were all really good musicians that had great chemistry together!

The Eagles ceased to exist when Bernie Leadon was fired. It only got worse when they added Joe Walsh.
I've liked quite a few of their songs over the years (mostly Frey's, which all sound the same). Problem is, the live renditions of their stuff sound almost identical to the studio versions, which leads me to consider them a bit contrived.

Saw the Eagles open for Jethro Tull at the Oakland Coliseum in 1972. I had no idea who they were. Witchy Woman and Tequila Sunrise sounded catchy to me, but did not go out and buy their album. They sounded too soft and poppy for me. Much prefer Emmy Lou Harris, Stephen Stills Manasis, etc. My favorite Eagles tune might be "Get over it".

My favorite Eagles tune might be "Get over it". I really like that song. I wish they had a whole album that had that kind of energy and enthusiasm. They've got a lot of great songs, but that one is just a lot of fun.
