One of the best bands of the 70's was Thin Lizzy. It's just a shame that U.S. radio only really gave 2 of their songs much airplay, because there's a hell of a lot more to Thin Lizzy than, "The Boys are Back in Town," and, "Jailbreak.
Like, for instance...
For my money their Jailbreak, Johnny The Fox, Bad Reputation, and Thunder and Lightning albums are, "Must Have's," for anyone who likes hard rock with a bit of diversity of styles.
They were just a brilliant band, and it's a real shame that bandleader Phil Lynott died so young (as the band was planning on getting back together).
I Love Phil & The Boys. My favorite tracks are : Chinatown, Waiting For An Alibi, Don't Believe A Word & Emerald. I dare anyone not to acknowledge that without Thin Lizzy to pave the way, U2 would be finding it that much harder to stay up there.
BTW all those albums you mentioned are classics. To check out Phil Lynott's diversity, check out his work on Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds concept album!
