It's real. It's powerful. It's heartbreaking - it's the San Diego Sports Curse! As a Chargers fan the game today against the Jets makes me nervous. Hell, ANY playoff game makes me nervous! It's not just the fact that the Jets' strengths are the Chargers' weaknesses, it's also the San Diego Sports Curse. San Diego has never seen a major league (NFL, MLB, NBA) championship - in any sport. We've come close a few times, but never enjoyed the celebration of a title win. The Curse is even so powerful that we've lost two NBA teams - the Rockets and the Clippers! Then again, maybe we got a break when the Clippers left town... I don't expect to break the Curse this year. Hell, the Curse seems to have trickled down to SDSU. We haven't won a major sports (football, baseball, basketball) championship in college, either - and our only football bowl appearances have been losses. Ever since San Diego Stadium opened up and SDSU went D1 (1969). Maybe it's the curse of San Diego/Jack Murphy/Qualcomm stadium. Who knows? All I know is that I will be SHOCKED if the Chargers break through and beat the Curse this year. Boston? Chicago? Bah - minor curses that only affected ONE sport! They were both so weak that those cities enjoyed MULTIPLE championships in multiple sports (football and basketball). The San Diego Sports Curse is ALL POWERFUL! Man, that's depressing...

As expected - the Curse beats the San Diego sports fans yet again! It crushes their hopes and dreams and leaves them wondering why.
