Most movie sequels are inferior to the originals, but every now and then there is a sequel that improves on the original.
Here are some sequels that I think are better than the preceding movie...
Aliens Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan X-Men 2 Spider Man 2
I know I'm forgetting several good ones...
What do you think? What are some sequels that you think are better than the originals?

I like Sanjuro more than Yojimbo. Actually, I like Sanjuro a LOT more than Yojimbo. I think Yojimbo's a bit overrated, actually.

But what about Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo??? (Yeah, yeah, yeah - I know it's not really a true sequel, but it could be stated that Sanjuro isn't either.)

God, I hate to admit it, but I thought Grease II was at least as good as Grease, mostly because Michelle Pfeiffer was damn good.
That, however, is not meant to negate the sequels others have offered; just that Grease II is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Seriously, though, I remember watching Grease II on cable back in the 80's, and I enjoyed it more than the first. Of course, I was a fan of Adrian Zmed from T.J. Hooker, so that may have skewed by view of the film. And Michelle Pfeiffer certainly didn't hurt the movie any... ;D

The Four Tops singing the opening song: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6247826540767420928#and Pfeiffer singing "Cool Rider". Most of the other songs are junk, but those two sort of sold me. =Bob

Here's a couple more : FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE, THE GOOD THE BAD & THE UGLY, GODFATHER PART 2, THE DARK KNIGHT, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE. Good choices, all. I'm not the worlds biggest Dark Knight fan, but it is good. And the rest are REALLY good.
